Kshama Solidarity Doorknocking Launch!

Don’t let the right-wing and big business recall Kshama Sawant!

Seattle has won groundbreaking progressive victories in recent years - $15/hr minimum wage, the Amazon Tax, landmark renters rights, a ban on crowd control weapons, and more - thanks to the winning combination of a fighting grassroots movement with a socialist voice inside City Hall.

Kshama Sawant is the only City Councilmember who consistently stands with movements and working people against the pressures of big business and the political establishment - and that’s exactly why they can’t tolerate the fact that voters reelected her for a third term last year despite the millions spent by big business to try to buy the election.

The right-wing, anti-BLM recall campaign against Kshama Sawant is an attack on all that our movements have won, and all that we are currently fighting for - Canceling Rent for those impacted by COVID, raising the Amazon Tax to cancel austerity and fund a Green New Deal jobs program, creating an elected community oversight board with full powers to hold the police accountable, and cutting SPD funding by 50% to fund community programs.

Join us Saturday, November 14th to canvass the district to defend the Councilmember that money can't buy and build the movement to demand community control over the police!

If you are interested in volunteering for the campaign but are unable to make this event please sign up for another day at kshamasolidarity.org/events or sign up to get volunteer updates at kshamasolidarity.org/volunteer.
