With the special election ballots out, we need all hands on deck in the final weeks to mobilize the biggest Get Out the Vote campaign in Seattle history to keep Councilmember Kshama Sawant in office. Republicans in over 40 states are pushing voter suppression bills attacking gains made in the Civil Rights movement as a backlash against the #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd and #BLM movement last year. It’s no surprise they’re trying to get away with voter suppression here by sandwiching a decisive election between the 2 biggest holidays in the US. We can't let them undemocratically push out Kshama for putting her neck on the line to win victories with the BLM and Tax Amazon movements. Come burn off those Thanksgiving calories by joining the Kshama Solidarity Campaign Megacanvass on Saturday, November 27 at 1pm in Cal Anderson Park! The weather forecast says it's likely to rain but we're going all out rain or shine so please dress for a wet, chilly day and bring an extra mask in case yours gets wet! We'll have a masked, socially distanced rally and training before splitting up into canvassing teams so be sure to arrive on time.
